About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Platform Engineer to join our global Managed Services team supporting large-scale cloud infrastructure and platform operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for platform monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, automation, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement across globally distributed environments.
Operating within a Follow-the-Sun support model, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain platform reliability, meet SLA commitments, and deliver exceptional operational support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer, your responsibilities would be:
A. Platform Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor large-scale production environments using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Investigate alerts, incidents, and service degradations across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Perform proactive health checks, capacity monitoring, and infrastructure assessments.
- Analyze platform trends and recommend reliability and performance improvements.
B. Incident Management & Response
- Respond to P2, P3, P4, and P5 incidents within defined SLA targets.
- Perform incident triage, impact assessment, troubleshooting, and escalation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during service disruptions and major incidents.
- Participate in bridge calls and ensure timely stakeholder communication throughout incident lifecycles.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
C. Platform Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot issues across a variety of technologies and services, including:
- Linux operating systems
- Kubernetes clusters
- Docker containers
- Networking and connectivity
- DNS, load balancers, and proxy services
- VPN and remote access technologies
- Storage and filesystems
- Cloud infrastructure services
- Database connectivity and platform services
D. Change Management
- Execute infrastructure and platform changes following ITIL best practices.
- Participate in deployment validations and post-change monitoring.
- Review change plans and rollback procedures.
E. Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Conduct post-incident analysis.
- Identify recurring operational issues.
- Recommend preventive and corrective actions.
- Create and maintain troubleshooting runbooks.
F. Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop scripts and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Improve operational workflows and platform reliability through automation and process optimization.
- Contribute to AI-driven operational transformation initiatives.
- Support self-healing and auto-remediation capabilities across managed platforms.
G. Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and operational best practices.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Academic Qualifications & Experience

- 3–8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Operations, or Technical Support.
- Experience working in enterprise production environments.
